Serve at Millbrae Bible

We believe that church is done as a body where everyone has a unique role to play. As we follow Jesus with our lives, we get to bring our gifts, talents, and passions to contribute meaningfully in his kingdom and family. Thank you for being a part of helping our community worship, connect, grow, and thrive!

  • Fireflies Class (Newborn-3.5 years)

Care and engage with our youngest ones at MBC through play and a short circle time, allowing parents to worship comfortably knowing their children are in a safe space.

    • Nursery Leaders - Help supervise the overall nursery and the volunteers. Greet new families to put them at ease. (Frequency: a month 3x per year)

    • Nursery Assistants - Help acclimate the youngest at MBC as care for them and engage them in play. Assist with a short circle time (prayer, Bible story, craft, snack, song). (Frequency: 1 Sunday per month)

Contact Dori (dori@millbraebible.org) for more information.

  • Little Sparks (Preschool-Kindergarten)

Introduce and build on concepts and stories of Jesus and God through a variety of interactive activities designed for their age. Create new and yet repetitive ways to capture the attention of the kids.

    • Lead Teachers - Prepare for class with the online curriculum and other resources (prayer, lesson, craft, game, snack, role-playing). (Frequency: a month 3x per year)

    • Teaching Assistants - Serve alongside the lead teacher to help the children to grasp new and familiar content. (Frequency: a month 3x per year)

  • Fuel (1st-5th Grade)

Help draw our elementary age kids into a closer relationship with Jesus, introduce them to the character of God and give them ideas how to incorporate these into their everyday lives. Help them understand and appreciate the importance of the Bible and knowing God's Word. The class initially meets as a large group and then breaks into small groups based on grades.

    • Lead Teachers - Prepare for class with the online curriculum and lead large group time. This includes greeting the kids and prayer, preparing the kids for the video lesson presentations, showing how the lesson fits into the larger unit series. Also lead one of the small groups. (Frequency: a month 3x per year)

    • Small Group Teachers - Lead a small set of kids through lesson review, memory verse, application discussion and sharing, and reinforcement activities (games, crafts). (Frequency: a month 3x per year)

    • Teaching Assistants - Serve alongside the small group teachers to help engage the kids and assist kids needing help. (Frequency: a month 3x per year)

Contact Dori (dori@millbraebible.org) for more information.

  • Come hang out with our 2nd-5th graders as they wind down the week with friends and at the same time help them open their eyes to seeing who God is, His plans and who Jesus is in a relaxed setting.

Meeting Time: 2nd and 4th Fridays of each month, 7:00-9:00pm

    • Lead Teacher - Plan meeting lessons/activities in ways that vary from the methods and content typically presented on Sundays. Focus is often on missionary impacts, Bible characters, and lessons relevant to current events. (Frequency: 4x per year)
