Groups

// Moving from Rows to Circles

Community at MBC provides a space and opportunity to connect more meaningfully with others beyond Sunday gatherings. It’s also the context for learning about and living out faith in Jesus and his gospel. Groups help us to move from rows to circles, closing the gap between what we believe and how we live.

Life gets messy. People are imperfect. We all struggle and stumble. These days the world can look like a dark and hopeless place to be living in, and we can increasingly feel isolated and alone. As followers of Jesus, we readily acknowledge the reality of all of these things. But along with believing the gospel, we also recognize the gift of community that comes with it and the church’s task of striving to learn and recognize together where and how God is present and working among us - in our lives and in the world. Being and walking with others in community helps us keep our faith anchored in the gospel, our eyes fixed on Jesus, and our lives tethered to our shared identity and mission.

We have various groups that meet regularly for fellowship, topical discussions, Bible study, and to do life together. Use the button above to find a group and join a community!

What to Expect

Growing in biblical community is our primary focus with these groups. With that in mind, here are some things that will be part of your experience:

FELLOWSHIP

We genuinely enjoy each other’s company and want everyone to feel “at home.” Friendship and connection is a need we all have and groups help establish connections and build friendships.

Exchanging stories and seasons and eating together are some things to expect when we gather.

GOD’S WORD

For Christians, God’s Word forms the worldview from which we understand and interpret all of life. It contains what God intends for us to know about Him and the life He created us for, and how we can experience it.

Expect to interact and engage with the Bible, and to be challenged and encouraged to live out its truths.

PRAYER

God invites people to pray in all circumstances about all things: fears, worries, joys, questions, hurts, needs. All of it. Why? Because God responds to prayer. He created us, cares for us, knows our needs, and deeply desires that we know our need for Him.

If you’re looking to pray with others about your specific needs, this group is the perfect place for that.

Life Groups gather primarily to embody three core rhythms: spiritual formation, community, and mission.

Bible Study Groups focus on developing the proper skills and posture for growing in the knowledge of the Bible and its application in our lives.
